After the seeds have sprouted open they are ready to be planted. Best way to plant the seeds is by first making a small hole in the grow media and gently place one seed with the tap root facing down. For the first 2-3 weeks the seeds will grow into little seedlings and should be kept under 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. After the pants have produced leaves with 5 to 7 blades per leaf it has entered the vegetative stage. The vegetative is where the plants will start to really grow. The light cycle should be kept the same at 18 to 6. This stage will last for the plants next 3 to 16 weeks and should be the time you focus the most on feeding the plants and nutrient levels. After that time the plant should be ready to start flowering.

Now if you were thinking about keeping a specific plant as a mother plant to grab clones from later. All you have to do is keep the plant in the vegetative stage by leaving the light cycle constant and never changing it.
